Our core principles are rooted in a firm belief in the value of fair trade and cultural artistry. We collaborate directly with our artisan partners in product design and meet with them regularly to ensure they are paid fairly for their time and expertise. Fair wages help parents provide for their children’s basic needs such as education, food, and healthcare. We promote healthy and safe work conditions. Our goal is to create and expand opportunities for economically disadvantaged artisans, to promote gender equality, and to conserve our natural environment through sustainable business practices.

The meaning of our brand 

infinite chain

Our name essentially means infinite chain.

It is the result of two words merged together: Catena and Analemma. Catena means chain in the Italian Romance language. Analemma, on the other hand, refers to the infinite-shaped curve ∞ that is formed if you observe the position of the Sun in the sky, as seen from a fixed location on Earth at the same mean solar time, as the position varies over the course of a year. Our name represents our daily reminder of our reason to exist. This word encompasses our mission and vision: an infinite chain which links together our partner artisans, our team at Câtemma, our natural resources, and your appreciated support to create infinite good. The combination of these links creates an infinite chain of contributions to the progress of future generations.
